Originally from California, Katie moved to the East Coast to get her bachelor’s degree in Middle East Studies at Dickinson College. After graduating, she worked in the field of Middle East policy in both DC and Jordan, where she wrote articles and speeches for a prince. Since then, Katie has obtained her master’s degree in Second Language Acquisition from University of Maryland while working on Arabic and linguistic research projects at the Center for Advanced Study of Language and the Center for Applied Linguistics. In her spare time, Katie can be found trying out new board games, working on her deadlift, or reading a book with a cat on her lap.
Practice makes perfect… or at least proficient! Becoming familiar with the test-taking process itself is the key to mastering the SAT, ACT, or whatever test a student is aiming to conquer. Practice tests are the most useful steps on the road, telling us what to focus on: time management, new test-taking strategies, or subject matter. The most important part of this process is building students’ confidence so that by the time the real test rolls around, they’re equipped to face whatever’s in that test booklet.
