From his youth, Eric developed a love for science and math, a dual fascination that grew over the years to include economics and finance, with a particular interest in efficiencies of capital markets. He subsequently earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from George Washington University, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech, and a Master of Business Administration from New York University. His career high points include designing electronics for classified Navy satellites and later working in top brokerage firms on Wall Street.
The one constant throughout Eric’s life, however, has been his dedication to tutoring students. Beginning during his undergraduate years and continuing throughout his professional career, Eric has always tutored students. In 2014, he transitioned to tutoring full time, working primarily with students who attended private schools.
When not tutoring, Eric, along with wife, Aimee, enjoys supporting BCC baseball and Maplewood football programs with their sons, Adin and Gabe, and sharing his love of music with other amateur musicians in the meetup group DC Rockers, which he founded.
I believe that the keys to success on standardized tests are patience, practice and persistence. I work diligently with students to make sure they have all of the knowledge they need for success. Beyond helping students gain knowledge, I spot and try to eliminate any roadblocks that impede test performance. I also challenge students to eliminate a mentality that says, “I’m not good in math,” by helping them build confidence in their abilities through careful strategy and positive reinforcement.
