Born and raised in Chicago, Talia suffered through many brutal winters and devastating Cubs losses before moving to California for school. She attended Claremont McKenna College and earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations. While at school, she worked at the CMC Admissions Office, conducting interviews with prospective students, and at the school’s Center for Human Rights, conducting research as a student fellow. After graduating, Talia moved to DC and joined a management consulting firm. She executed on numerous strategy projects for clients across the aerospace and defense sector, with a focus on international growth initiatives and transaction advisory. Talia can often be found working on any kind of puzzle or planning her next travel adventure. Talia considers herself a pancake connoisseur and is a strong supporter of breakfast food for lunch & dinner.

The best part of one-on-one tutoring is the opportunity to really get to know the individual student and their goals. I work to understand each student’s specific testing challenges so we can work together to overcome them. I believe that it is important to tailor each lesson to how the student learns best. I love to be creative with teaching methods, providing hands on examples, visual guides, or fun stories to keep things engaging. I am always focused on maintaining a continuous dialogue with my students. I want them to ask lots of questions and explain their reasoning as they work through complicated topics. My goal is to have every student walk into test day feeling confident and in control, equipped with the skills to achieve their goals.
